I have previously written about how I find Carlson to be one of the better hotel programs – they snuck in quite unexpectedly with their 50K per night promo last year, and I discovered a whole new hotel chain that I have never even considered staying at. But now it is definitely one of my go-to chains (though admittedly, only when point promos are on). A $140 night at the Seattle Radisson earlier this year got me a free night at the $300/night Fisherman’s Wharf in SFO, and despite having booked two nights at the 50K/night Westminster Bridge property in London (itself a $300ish per night property), I still somehow have 65K points in my account, despite only staying at Carlson a bare few times.
Anyway, the new bonus is on: triple points on eligible bookings; and given how generous Carlson is with points, this probably means one hotel stay will get you at least one free night in one of their properties. Go here to register.
Now to see what Starwood will offer in Q1 (rumour is it will be 20K SPG points after 20 nights or something of the sort, but we will see soon).
